The delegation of China Wushu Youth Champions led by Mrs. Li, Xiao Jie, the director of the Department of Youth Activity for the Chinese Wushu Association and Mrs. Wei, Xin Huang , the director of Hebei Province Wushu Center along with a National Wushu Coach will visit Washington D.C between the dates of August 14 - August 24,2015. They will also offer a special Wushu performance as an expression of gratitude on August 22, 2015.
According to the briefing, the delegation is composed of National and World Youth Champions including the Gold medal winner of the 2014 Nanjing youth Olympic Wushu competition and winner of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals of the National (China) Youth Wushu Competitions. The delegation has a strong lineup in indeed.
The delegation will stay in Washington D.C for one week teaching and training Wushu athletes here in the United States of America. At the conclusion of their visit, the China Wushu champions and the students from O-Mei
Jointly, the two groups will hold a Wushu Kungfu performance to show the public audience what is “real” Chinese Kungfu. They will be performing Kungfu Wushu including magic Chang Quan, Staff, Broad Sword, Straight Sword, Spear, Tai Qi as well as the traditional Kungfu.
O-Mei Wushu Kungfu Center has become one of the premier Wushu-Kungfu schools across the United States. The school has had more than 40 students represent the United States of America National Wushu Team and participated in the highest ranking Wushu competitions including World Wushu competition, Beijing Olympic Games- Wushu tournament, World Sport Games, World Traditional Wushu competition and the second Youth Olympic Games Wushu competition.
The students of the O-Mei Wushu Kungfu Center have won over three hundred gold medals in those competitions. O-Mei Wushu Kungfu Center has also been invited to many prestigious demonstrations including demonstrations at the White House making O-Mei Wushu Kungfu Center one of the most excellent performing teams in the Washington Metropolitan area. In this exhibition, O-Mei students will exhibit their high level of Kungfu talent.
Combined with the talent of the China Wushu Youth Champions, it will be a powerful Wushu show performed by Chinese and American performers. The contents of the show will be immersive and rich with culture while featuring a variety of acts. It will be an exciting event that is not to be missed.
